Job Description

The Placement Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the placement processes for students or candidates in a professional, educational, or training setting. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with employers, organizing recruitment drives, and preparing candidates for interviews and job placements. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to align candidates’ skills with industry needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, employers, and organizations to secure job and internship opportunities.
  • Placement Management: Organize and manage recruitment drives, campus interviews, and placement activities.
  • Candidate Preparation: Assist candidates with resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills training.
  • Database Management: Maintain detailed records of candidate profiles, placement data, and employer contacts.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute placement-related events, workshops, and job fairs.
  • Industry Research: Stay updated with market trends and industry requirements to match candidates’ skills with job opportunities.
  • Reporting: Generate and present placement reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in placement coordination, career counseling, or a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and job market dynamics.
