Job Description
The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and addressing issues as they arise. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining safety protocols, and acting as the point of contact in the absence of senior management. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and capable of making decisions to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations across departments to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
- Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
- Staff Supervision: Provide guidance and support to team members, resolve any personnel issues, and manage staff schedules to optimize productivity.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and company policies, and respond effectively to emergencies or incidents.
- Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently to meet demand and enhance service delivery.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports on operational issues, incidents, and other key performance metrics.
- Conflict Resolution: Address customer or team concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
- Training and Development: Assist in training staff on operational protocols, service standards, and health and safety practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role (typically 2-4 years).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to make quick decisions, solve problems, and work under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
