Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory operations. The role involves managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, coordinating with procurement and sales teams, and implementing effective inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to managing inventory challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Control and Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet business demands without overstocking or understocking.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform regular audits and stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean inventory storage area.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze inventory data to identify trends and optimize stock management.
- Generate inventory performance reports and provide insights to senior management.
- Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends, seasonality, and business growth.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory levels with operational needs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory and resolve any discrepancies.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling, storage, and dispatch of inventory.
Technology and Systems:
- Manage and update inventory management software to maintain accurate records.
- Leverage technology to automate and streamline inventory processes.
- Train staff on the effective use of inventory systems and tools.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in inventory management.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory loss, damage, or obsolescence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
