Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience. Responsibilities include assessing customer needs, recommending maintenance and repair services, coordinating with technicians, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction & Communication:

  • Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs.
  • Listen to customer concerns and explain service options clearly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and explain repair timelines.
  • Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles throughout the service process.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Service Coordination & Documentation:

  • Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Document customer concerns and relay them accurately to the service technicians.
  • Review repair orders and ensure all services performed are correctly billed.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and vehicle service history.

Technical & Sales Support:

  • Recommend preventive maintenance and additional services based on vehicle history and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Explain technical information in a way that is easy for customers to understand.
  • Promote and upsell service packages, warranties, and parts when appropriate.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely and accurate vehicle repairs.
  • Assist the parts department in identifying and sourcing necessary components.
  • Communicate with the service manager about customer concerns or complex issues.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience as a service advisor, automotive service writer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive services and repair procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and customer-friendly manner.
  • Proficiency in using service management software and computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
