Job Description
The Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store. They ensure efficient and smooth functioning by managing staff, optimizing sales, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. The Store Incharge is accountable for meeting sales targets, handling customer queries, and ensuring store compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the store, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing store layout.
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and store is in compliance with safety standards.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor store staff to meet operational and customer service standards.
- Schedule shifts, assign duties, and ensure proper staff coverage at all times.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees for continuous improvement.
- Sales & Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, stock management, and order supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular stock counts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Work with suppliers and manage deliveries and returns as required.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure profitability.
- Assist in cash handling, daily cash reconciliation, and ensuring accurate transactions.
- Track and analyze store’s financial performance, including sales, profits, and loss prevention.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure the store is visually appealing and merchandised according to company standards.
- Implement promotional campaigns and adjust store displays as needed.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure the store complies with all company policies, as well as local laws and regulations.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the store.
- Conduct safety drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or related field (preferred).
- Experience:Â 1 years of experience in a retail or customer service environment; prior supervisory experience is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
